This Thanksgiving has come more quickly that I would have liked. Over the past two years it has not been my favorite holiday. When you lose a loved one holidays like this one can leave one wanting because it’s a time to celebrate with family and some of us are missing family members or maybe you don’t have a large family, or your family members are dispersed and your aren’t able to get together as you would like.

Whatever your situation, know that God is with you. He knows and understands. You may think this sounds trite but it’s not. God has known your from the beginning and He knows your now.

Psalm 139 is such a precious chapter. Please take a moment to read it. It tells of our creation and how our Creator knows everything about us and how we cannot hide from our Creator. Wherever we go; He is there. He’s our light, our watchman, our friend and Savior.

Today, as I was reading my Bible, I came to Psalm 95.  It is a beautiful song that exhibits God’s majesty in creation, shows us who He is is teaches us why we should praise Him always; even in the most difficult of times.

Psalm 95 speaks for itself.  Read on and let it comfort your soul.

Happy Thanksgiving!

1 Oh come, let us sing to the LORD.

let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!

Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving.

let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!

3 For the LORD is a great God,

and a great King above all gods.

4 In his hand are the depths of the earth.

the heights of the mountains are his also.

The sea is his, for he made it,

and his hands formed the dry land.

6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down.

let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!

For he is our God,

and we are the people of his pasture,

and the sheep of his hand. – Ps 95:1-7 ESV

He is our joy, always!
