Where is your hope? Is it in success? Is it in fantasism? Is it in financial stability? Is it in (you fill in the blank) None of thee earthly things can give us hope.

Hope is in Jesus Christ.  He is the only hope for a sinful, dying world. Jesus gave His life so we might live and have hope.

Jesus, the Son of God, made the sacrifice we cannot make. He died so we could be redeemed. He died so we could be forgiven. He died so we do not have to bear the wrath of God for the sin we have committed.  He died so we could live – Eternally.

From the beginning God planned a Savior. (Genesis 3:15) God knows what we are like. We are all sinners and have done things that are displeasing to Him.  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” – Romans 3:23 The Bible tells us that the consequences for sins is spiritual, eternal death. “For the wages of sin is death.” Romans 6:23a

But there is hope.  Scripture tells us in Romans 5:8 “But God shows His love for us, in that while were still sinners Christ died for us.” Back in Romans 6:23b we see that “the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Jesus’ death paid the price for our sins. His resurrection proves God accepted His death as payment for our sins.

We must confess with our mouth that Jesus is who He says He is – The Son of God and that He died in our place so we might be rescued from our sins and ourselves.  Romans 10:9 tells us “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:13 says, “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”  Jesus died to pay the penalty for our sins and to rescue us from eternal death. Salvation, the forgiveness of sins, is available to everyone who will trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

You can have a relationship with God when you Admit your sin to God and repent, Believe Jesus is the Son of God, Confess your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Romans 8:1 tells us, “There is therefore no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus”. Jesus loves you more than anyone ever has or will. He is our peace and our hope. No matter what you are dealing with in your life, please know there is a Savior who died in your place and who is offering you the free gift of life forever with God.

God showed us His love while we were still sinning. He didn’t wait until we had cleaned ourselves up. He knows we can’t do that alone. We need a rescuer, a Savior. This is Jesus, the Son of God who freely and lovingly gives us eternal redemption and forgiveness.

What a glorious gift! What a wonderful Savior! Praise Him today! He is our Hope in all things!
